We bought some Frey red table wine to try since my mom is allergic to sufites. Frey wines are organic with no added sulfates plus red wines tend to have less sulfates than white wines (in general) since the tannins help preserve the wine better. The wine was quite sharp and even pairing it with steak, it was still a bit hard to swallow for us. In fact, 3 out of 4 people opted to not finish the glass and asked for something else. We just dumped the bottle down the drain. Since this was just ordinary table wines, I guess we should not have expected too much but I was very disappointed. We will give organic wines another try but will try a recommended vintage next time because this was just not good. I only give it an overall satisfaction of fair instead of poor because I really want to support organic growers and I am hoping my next bottle will be better (given that Frey Vineyards has been around for such a long time).
